Download the geographic dataset of Suriname (1:50.000) which contains the contours, rivers and the
Van Blommenstein Lake.
Geological
map of Suriname in ArcView. This file contains an ArcView-dataset
describing the topographic map of Suriname on a scale 1/500.000.
The data were compiled purely for demonstration purposes and to
practice wth it within a GIS environment. The data were
digitized from the 1/500.000 topographic map of the Central Buro
for Aerial Mapping, projected in stereographic projection and
transformed to a UTM-zone 21 projection. With ArcExplorer, which
you also can download for free, you can experiment with maps of
Suriname, provided by the department of Natural Resources of
