GIS
n.v. GISsat is an IT company focused primarily
on the distribution, application, implementation and support of
Geographical Information Systems (GIS) including training for
potential GIS users.
As the authorized representative of Environmental Systems
Research Institute Inc. (ESRI) in Suriname for their GIS
Software and Products, GISsat can provide first-line support for
the set-up and maintenance of corporate GIS Systems using
state-of-the-art GIS Software such as ArcView, Arc/Info, Map
Objects, SDE, ArcFM and others.
Our ESRI Authorized ArcView Trainers are competent in managing
and giving standard GIS-user courses as well as customized and
advanced training sessions for specialized implementations.
CAD
GISsat has a reliable CAD Division which has handled numerous
successful projects. Our CAD Division comprises a team of
specialists with vast experience in the fields of :

Our CAD Specialists can screen and evaluate our Clients CAD
processes and lay out a standardization track that will
guarantee a substantial increase in production and efficiency.
Dataproduction
For our CAD consulting services as well as our GIS Projects,
data conversion has become a necessary phase during which
existing archive/data are converted into exact digital formats
to be used on CAD- or GIS-stations. Our Data Production Team
rely on their substantial experience in converting (digitizing)
and post-processing both vector as well as raster data and in
the coaching of Clients who are setting up in-house data
conversion activities.
Versatile and extremely adept in both CAD & GIS, the Data
Production Team is responsible for the data conversion process
to get optimum integration within the eventual CAD- or GIS-units
using customized applications for data entry.
Run-time applications can be developed by our programmers using
the converted data within a customized, lightweight GIS
application that can be installed easily on any PC.
Field-Data
Collection
GISsat is able to offer professional Field Data
Collection services in Suriname using the most current
technology, equipment and software available. GISsat can
accomplish any surveying project by utilizing survey systems
such as Global Positioning System (GPS) and Total Stations with
advanced post-processing software & techniques resulting in
accurate mapping products, tracking systems, satellite imagery
and engineering survey.
All data collected by our Surveyors is post-processed and
imported to a GIS for proper geo-referencing of the cartographic
data.
Both Data Production Team and Field Data Collection Team
coordinate closely in order to ensure accurate geo-referenced
GIS Data for our Clients.

Aerial
Photogrammetry
GISsat has succesfully completed several projects in
the field of aerial photogrammetry in-and outside of Suriname.
In a recent partnership with ESRI Netherlands, GISsat started to
provide professional aerial photogrammetric services in Suriname
using ERDAS software and is able to provide first-line support
on both software and digitale aerial and satellite imagery.
